DESCRIPTION:Baut mit UNA an einer partizipativen Raumskulptur im Neustadt-lab\nIm Rahmen eines ‚UNA Experiments‘ soll am diesjährigen Neustadt-Lab eine begeh- und bespielbare UNA Raumskulptur entstehen. Ganz im Sinne unseres Mottos ‚Gemeinsame Vielfalt in Aktion‘ wollen wir gemeinsam planen\, bauen\, gestalten und bespielen. Mit dem Aufbau starten wir in der zweiten August-Woche. \nSobald steht\, was auch immer entstehen wird\, wollen wir unsere Installation beleben. Mit kleinen Konzerten\, Performances\, Kunstwerken\, Workshops und allem\, was euch einfällt. \nWir haben:\n– einen tollen Platz mitten auf der Schützenmatte\n– ordentlich Material\n– jede Menge Motivation \nWir brauchen:\n– fleissige Hände\n– kreative Köpfe\n– eure Zeit und Mithilfe \nWir treffen uns erstmals am\n****Dienstag\, 8. SUMMARY:Swiss African Festival SAF -  11.- 13.8.17
DESCRIPTION:\nThere are about 30’000 Africans living in Switzerland\, from more than 50 nationalities of origin\, speaking several official languages including English\, French\, Portuguese\, Spanish and Arabic\, in addition to indigenious African languages like Hausa\, Swahili\, Bambara\, Wollof etc\, about 1000 different kinds from all over the African continent. Africans in Switzerland live in scattered groups all over the country. Some of them have grouped themselves in various unrecognized Unions and associations\, to take care of their immediate needs.\n\n\nThe project is driven by the challenge that beyond statements and symbolic gestures\, the strongest assurance today would be a dramatic reversal\, which would replace the continuing alienation and distancing people from Africa by establishing actual understanding of ideas\, institutions and initiatives at all possible levels between the elements of culture\, ideas and social classes of people. We look forward to a world of equality\, where everyone integrates and expresses himself freely. We also seek a world where the dignity\, status and pride of mankind are respected.\n\nDas Swiss African Forum führt in Zusammenarbeit mit NEUstadt-lab vom 11.- 13.8.17 ein Kultur- und Integrationsfest zum Thema „Informationen rund um das Leben in der Schweiz “ auf der Schützenmatte durch\n.\nDas „SAF Kultur- und Integrationsfest Bern 2017“ ist eines der grössten Events von SAF und soll zu einer besseren Verständigung zwischen SchweizerInnen und den in der Schweiz lebenden AfrikanerInnen und anderen Migrantinnen verhelfen. Jedes Jahr nehmen mehrere hunderte ältere und jüngere Personen am von SAF organisierten Event in Bern teil und feiern zusammen mit Tanz\, Spass\, Essen\, vielerlei Begegnungen und Gesprächen. Das „SAF Kultur- und Integrationsfest“ ist eines der wichtigsten Feste von und mit MigrantInnen gesamtschweizerisch und verhilft dazu\, Netzwerke zu festigen und Eigenaktivität und Integration zu fördern. Der Anlass verbindet lehrreiche Aktivitäten zu den Themen Integration und Kultur mit Unterhaltung\, kombiniert mit einer Kostprobe afrikanischer / schweizerischer Küche\, Kunst und Handwerk.\n\n\nWEB:    http://swissafricanforum.ch/\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Cinema du Desert is a Solar Mobile Cinema that has\, since 2009\, traveled the world overland bringing free cinema\, play and joy to some of the most remote areas of the planet.\nWe mostly screen eco-awareness documentaries and cartoons.\nWhy this name? Because this cinema was born in the Sahara Desert\, in the village of Korientze (located between Mopti and Timbuctu\, Mali) during our 1st expedition in West Africa for Italian NGO Bambini nel Deserto.\nWe believe that free access to culture is „the foundation“ for a better tomorrow\, so we keep on spreading seeds around the globe because health also passes through culture and education.\nWe are strong believers in eco-responsibility\, self-sustainability and the idea that „Education = Dignity„.\nDuring each of our expeditions\, our crew of volunteers takes part in a variety of projects that improves the skills of the people we meet and\, consequently\, also their environment. \nMore Info: http://www.cinemadudesert.org/ \n
